Rodney J. Rittenhouse, age 69. Born February 22, 1955 in Norristown, Pennsylvania passed away on July 11, 2024 in Dunedin, Florida. Son of the late William A. Rittenhouse Sr. and Violet M. Rittenhouse. Rod was a graduate of Methacton High School class of 1973. He enjoyed playing all sports, especially baseball where he was a great pitcher in high school and American Legion league. Rod was a fan of the Phillies, Eagles, and Tampa Bay Rays. He loved playing golf, biking and going to the beach.
Rod was employed by Genuardi Markets and later Safeway Markets as a manager before retiring to Tarpon Springs, Florida. He is survived by a daughter, Heather Long and her husband Scott and granddaughter Callie of Lansdale. Also survived by brother Gary Rittenhouse (Cheryl) of Eagleville, nephew Scott Rittenhouse of King of Prussia and nephew Steve Rittenhouse (Jackie) of Birdsboro. Rod also had the pleasure of enjoying time with his girlfriend Patty Dorsey of Carrollwood, Florida.
Rod is predeceased by his brother William A. Rittenhouse Jr., his wife Janice and wife Debra.

I send my deepest condolences to Rod’s family and friends.. Rod was such a great guy. I hold such fond memories of Rod spending many hours at our home as kids. He and my brother Larry were such good friends. Rod was always so very nice and such a positive person. Rod will be missed.
