Priscilla A. Donegan, 87, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Largo, Florida.
Priscilla graduated from Mineral Ridge High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Education degree from Youngstown State University. She was an elementary and special education teacher in the Liberty Local School System until her retirement. Priscilla loved teaching and took great pride in helping children reach their full potential. She remembered her students fondly and remained in contact with some of them until her passing.
On August 19, 1961, Priscilla was united in marriage to Edward J. Donegan in Mineral Ridge, Ohio. They made their home in Liberty Township, Ohio, before becoming “snowbirds,” spending part of the year in Florida until eventually making Largo their permanent residence. Priscilla was never one to sit still. She loved the Florida sunshine and could often be found at the pool or shuffleboard court, and she enjoyed daily walks through the neighborhood.
Priscilla is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ed Donegan; her daughter Terri and husband David; her son William “Bill” and wife Nancy; and her four adored grandchildren, Christian and Davis Hall, and Connor and Carter Donegan. She also leaves behind her sister, Sallie Potter, and her husband Tom. Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, William “Carter” and Mary McConnell.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shots for Tots, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Youngstown, Ohio. Shots for Tots provides bicycles for children in need through the Marines Toys for Tots Program. This charity was very close to Priscilla’s heart, and she loved being a part of their events. Donations can be made to Shots for Tots, 408 Mansell Dr., Youngstown, OH 44505. Contact Terri Hall for more information.

We will dearly miss our wonderful friend and neighbor in Holiday Shores. May her legacy live on through the lives she touched with kindness and generosity.
Rest in Peace Mrs Donegan…such a special teacher that we will never forget..
It is a privilege to have known your mother. She had a lovely spirit and was always a joy to be around. She was an important influence to KJ, and she welcomed me when we started dating. She will be missed.
I had her in her 1st year of teaching. She was a favorite of mine. For the past 20 years she was a neighbor. She is missed.
