Nancy Jane Deuber passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 13th, 2024, leaving behind a family who will deeply miss her warmth, wisdom & loving spirit. Nancy is survived by: Kevin (husband), Unity & Jonathan (children), Ashley (daughter-in-law), Richie (brother), Michelle, Jeremy, Aiden & Raegan (grandchildren), Samuel (great-grandchild on the way).
Born on June 25th, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, Nancy was the 3rd child of Mary & Tom Deuber. She grew up with her younger brother, Richie & cherished the memory of her older sister, Janice, who passed away in her twenties. Family vacations to Wildwood, NJ & watching her parents swing dance were some of her favorite childhood memories. As a teenager, she embraced the counterculture of the 1960s, finding a lifelong love for the music of the Beatles, Bob Dylan & Donovan.
Nancy welcomed her first child, Unity Ruth, with Drew Williamson during her free-spirited early years. Later, she moved to St. Petersburg, FL, where she met & married Butch Adkins & together, they had her second child, Jonathan Lee Adkins. Nancy was a loving & devoted mother, known for her enthusiasm for Christmas & her commitment to raising her children with warmth, fun & a healthy lifestyle. Even as a single mother after her marriage to Butch ended, she always provided unwavering support for her children.
In her professional life, Nancy found her calling in Massage Therapy, where she thrived both as a practitioner & a teacher. She ran a successful business at Shapes Fitness Spa & inspired many through her work. Her passion for anatomy & healing was evident & she continued to share her knowledge long after she retired.
Nancy’s final years were filled with love & companionship from her devoted Husband & soulmate Kevin. They spent more than 20 wonderful years together, enjoying simple pleasures like watching her grandson play ball with her son Jonathan coaching, trips to the beach, cooking & karaoke. Kevin’s care & dedication during Nancy’s later years will always be remembered with deep gratitude by her family.
Nancy was a vibrant & kind-hearted person who made a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, brother, many friends & extended family members.

Mom, I will miss you more than words can express. We had our ups & downs, but make no mistake, you were a great Mother! I had such a great childhood & will forever share my childhood memories with my kids (and one day grandkids). You made me the man I am today, I know you were proud of what I became & I will forever be grateful. One of the things I admired most about you is you never had a negative thing to say about people, you truly saw the good in peoples souls & would regularly say kind things to random people which would make them smile & make their day better 🙂 No matter what, you ALWAYS had my back & I will love you forever. Please give Babchi, Pop & my Father a hug for me; Rest in Peace momma. Your loving son, Jonny
🌠 I am sure going to miss beautiful Nancy. I didn’t get to see her very often but when i did she always greeted me with her bright smiling face and welcoming hugs. I’ll remember her for the laughter we shared when talking about fun things and for the like-mindedness we shared in conversations about heath and spirituality. She was always such a free spirit, and always so generous being quick to offer me anything i mentioned I liked that she had. While I will miss her deeply, I know she’s in a place where her spirit is free and at peace. 🙏🕊️✨
💕 sending my love and gratitude to you dear sweet Nancy — your loving kindness and warmth will remain forever in my heart and with all of us always. 💖
