Maureen Nancy Walter

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Maureen Nancy Walter, 82 years old on August 7, 2026.

Maureen was born September 16, 1943 and is now reunited with her husband Alfred Walter of 53 years. She is survived by her  Children Kelly Haas (Mark Haas), Alfred Walter (Gina Walter), Danny Walter (Kim Walter), BilliJo Walter, Thoeun Phoung(Pam Phoung) and Buny, 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Our mom was the strongest, sweetest, most caring person we knew.  She taught us how to be strong, independent, and how to love with our whole heart.  She was the glue that kept her family together.   She leaves a legacy of strong willed, independent,  funny, loving and even a few smart asses in the mix.  Her memory will live on in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.   She was loved by all no matter if it was a brief encounter or a lifetime.  We will miss her each and every day but a piece of her lives on in all of us.  Mom we love you and am thankful that you are now at peace living your best life dancing, loving and partying it up with dad and all.  🦋❤️

  2. Kelly,

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, Maureen. Although words can never fully ease the pain of losing someone so dear, I pray you find comfort in the love she shared, the memories she created, and the lives she touched.

May God wrap His loving arms around you and your family during this difficult time and grant you strength, peace, and comfort in the days ahead. The Bible reminds us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). May that promise bring you reassurance and hope.

May Maureen’s beautiful legacy live on through all who knew and loved her, and may cherished memories bring light to your heart whenever you think of her.

Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

    With deepest sympathy,
    Vickie Benniefield
