Jimmy Gerald Merritt

Jimmy Gerald Merritt Passed away on November 21,2024, in Wesley Chapel, FL. He was a loving and caring father and Papa who loved to go fishing.  He is preceded in death by his ex wife  Rhonda Merritt father, Kenneth Merritt, grandparents Ida Ruth, Clarence Jenkins,  Jack Woodham Ruby Merritt, and Pete Merritt. His brother James Merritt, sister Gloria nephew Joshua Merritt, neice Ann Marie Perfect, and Uncle Lawrence Airhart.
He is survived by his three daughters, Amber, Ashley, and Brittany. Grandchildren, Jarridd, Aryonna, Brentt, Arielle, Ethan, and Luke. His mother, Ruth Merritt and siblings Robert, Matthew, Kenneth, David, Teresa, Ruby, Amanda, April and Earl .  A celebration of life will be set at a later date.

  2. Paula and I send our condolences to the family. Jimmy and I were friends for over 40 years and he was like a brother.

  3. Jimmy, I remember when you were 17 before you and Rhonda were married. You were sitting in my back seat as we were driving to Tampa. You had us all laughing with your silly stories. I see why Rhonda loved you so much. You would show off your muscles doing pull ups and walking on your hands. You will be missed, but at least you are with Rhonda again.

Well brother it’s been almost a week that you been gone it’s weird not going over there to help with you but you’re free no more pain from all that nasty cancer that was eating your body You’re up in heaven with her brother or grandparents or aunts and uncles and our nieces and nephews that have passed I hope they all were staying in at the pearly Gates and Rhonda when you got there We love you and miss you dearly

  5. I am so sorry to see you leave Jimmy. You are a good man when I met you and always acted like going anytime I saw you. I wish I could have gotten to known you better and you will be missed.
