James Michael McBride

James Michael McBride (Jimmy, Jimbo, Dad and Papa) passed away on November 28, 2024, after a long battle with ALS.  Though the disease claimed him too soon, he left behind a beautiful legacy of love in his children Garrett Bagley and his wife Anna, Amanda McBride, Amber and her husband Austin Holcomb, Amy McBride, and Lester Glenn along with his amazing grandchildren – Skylar, Aiden, Berklee, Beckham, Monty and Martell.

He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and JoAnn Mull. His sisters and brothers Pam Patterson and her husband Ron, Katherine Cole and her husband Tom, J.R. Mull and his wife Lynda, Eddie Mull and his fiancé Lorri Sehnert, Rick Mull, John McBride and his wife Lisa, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his friends will miss the laughter that surrounded him.

He loved his “two hands and mean it” hugs.

He enjoyed time with his family and friends reliving the infamous alien abduction story with increasingly outlandish details, and fishing whenever and wherever he could. When he wasn’t fishing, his favorite things to do were watching NASCAR and cheering on his Ohio State Buckeyes!

  1. Miss him so much already, glad we got to spend days with him the last month. We have been friends for over 40 years he’s more like a brother to Steve and I.The best Godfather/Uncle to our children! So many memories and yes the alian abduction is definitely one of them! May he rest in peace, till we meet again! Go Buckeyes!

  2. He was the best neighbor and friend you can imagine. He used to trade my newspaper sports and cartoon sections on Sundays for “made from scratch” biscuits and gravy. He would have given his last shirt off his back for his friends. He is dearly missed.
