Geoffrey Scott Mitchell “Geoff”

Geoffrey Scott Mitchell “Geoff” was born 1/9/82 and  to his parents Karen A Adams and Scott G Mitchell and returned to God’s arms on 04/27/2025.

 Geoff was the youngest of 2 children, and had an older sister named Barbara A Rapson.  Geoffrey’s current residence was Burkett Villa in St Petersburg FL where he spent most of his time making the staff and the other residents laugh and enjoy life. Geoffrey was an AVID lover of movies and musicals namely , Dirty Dancing and the music of Christmas. In particular Silent Night. He also loved to have his steering wheel with him at all times in his wheelchair.  He also loved watching all gameshows past and present  and watching his family play video games and The Flintstones .He did not love furry animals or animals in general due to the feeling of them. He enjoyed spending time on the weekends coming home and hanging out with his family. He was a great listener and friend to all. He  never met a stranger. He loved hard and made sure those around him knew it. He faced much adversity and challenges in his life and a few scary health issues but all in all was a happy,  healthy man. He loved going to PARC everyday and spending time with his classmates and friends there. Geoffrey grew up and died in Saint Petersburg in Pinellas County Florida. Geoffrey Is preceded in death by several grandparents and aunts and uncles on both sides and survived by parents Karen A and Scott G Mitchell of Seminole FL, a sister Barbara A Rapson and her husband Matthew T Rapson also of Seminole along with their 2 children Adam and Grace Rapson. Also survived by his grandmother Barbara V Adams of Seminole and 4 Uncles all of Pinellas County which are Donald Adams Jr and his wife Jeanine , Michael Adams and girlfriend Rachelle Pavlowski, Craig Mitchell and finally Steven Mitchell  and his wife Angela and other extended family in other places. Geoff will be missed more than words can say and his family and friends, celebrated his life and legacy Saturday the 10th of May 2025 at one on clock PM at Abbey Affordable funeral home on Ulmerton Rd in Largo FL led by his sister Barbara Rapson.

  1. Geoffrey I loved you every single day of your life and will continue to do so all the days of mine! I could not have asked for anything more in a brother or in a friend. It’s gonna take me a very long time to accept this. Rest easy honey, you did your job wonderfully down here and you deserve to rest. Love you and God bless

    Thank you.
    I will always love you as my own brother. Thank you for all of the laughter through the years! For your bad ass dance moves. For your love of Dirty Dancing and the flintstones. For the ever evolving steering wheels. For the fun sayings we used to repeat over and over. Only because you knew it would make me smile. So here’s one last- “Oh no, not that!” for the road.
    I love you, buddy.
    See you when I get there.

  3. I knew him since he was a tiny kid. He always smiled and had a laugh would make you smile too. Rest in peace my friend
