In loving memory of Gary Louis Lounsbury,
Jan 10, 1944 – Jan 10, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Lounsbury, who departed this life on his 81st. Birthday, Jan 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer .
Gary moved to Florida from Kansas and absolutely loved his life here. He especially enjoyed meeting with friends every Wednesday for breakfast at Kristinas.
Gary also loved visiting Newfoundland, Canada in the summer time, and was considered by some, an honorary Newfoundlander for his wonderful carpentry work as well as his improved cod jigging skills each summer.
As an Aux Captain with the Salvation Army, he loved his time helping others in need but especially loved listening to the Salvation Army band whenever they played.
Gary was also a Scout leader and was very active within the Scouting Community when his sons were growing up.
Gary leaves behind his companion and caregiver, Rosalie, Sons Tom, Mark (Desiree), grandchildren Tye (Kristen), Cameron (Cristina), Payton, Great-grandchildren Logan, Lucas, and Hayden.
Gary’s memory will live on in all those fortunate enough to have called him family or friend.

We were so sorry to hear of Garys passing. Sending our deepest condolences to Rosalie and his entire family. We met Gary for the first time when him & Rosalie bought a trailer and parked it next to ours at Mountainview park, Clarke’s beach. We immediately became friends and had hoped they would spend more years there. Unfortunately Gary became ill and ended up moving back to Florida. Rosalie and I kept in touch and we asked often how he was doing. We liked Gary from the moment we met him. A nice man, quiet and very polite and respectful. Please accept our deepest and sincere condolences, you truly left your mark on those who were fortunate enough to have met you. No more pain and suffering may you rest in peace
