Gary Erwin Patterson

Gary Erwin Patterson passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Gary was born on August 28, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Gary attended Pleasantville High School in Iowa. He served in the Marines and then worked in the construction industry.

Gary moved to Florida in 1971 and made his home in Tampa, Florida. Gary was a general contractor and had his own business for many years until he retired. 

He enjoyed Nascar, Buccaneer football, playing cards and slots at the casino. He loved spending time with his family and especially his great-granddaughter Reme.

He is survived by his three daughters. Tami ( Alan ) Kowalkowsky, Audrea Patterson and Sydney (Michael) McAllister. Grandchildren Chris (Brandi), Victoria, Tammara & Michael III. Great-grandchild, Reme and friend, Lois Zardinskas. 

He is survived by two sisters, Donna and Mary-Kay, and several nieces and nephews. 

Gary is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis. 

He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

Service and internment will be privately held at Florida National Cemetery.
