Donald D. Danks of Largo, Florida and originally from Madison, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at the Bay Pines VA Hospital, in his 80th year on Thursday, August 18th, 2022 at 3:45PM, with his beloved wife Patty and his many children at his side.
Don was born on December 9th, 1942 to father Donald D. Danks Sr. and Mae V. Spiker in Madison Wisconsin. Daddy Don joined the military as a young man after which he left Madison Wisconsin and continued with his many adventures. In is lifetime, he owned a variety of businesses and lived in an even wider variety of States throughout the US, until he came to Florida, where he met and fell in love with his wife, Patty.
Then, together with Patty, his partner in crime, the two would continue their adventures together and were fortunate to travel in their RV Camper visiting family and friends throughout the country, before coming back to settle in Largo Florida.
Don a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and an infectious laugh that will be greatly missed. He always had a great story to tell, and in a way that could never be duplicated, and he took the time to help make everyone he met feel special! Don enjoyed golfing with his many golfing buddies and spending time with his family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and youngest brother Robin Danks. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patty (Fitzmaurice) Danks, five sons and three daughters, his brother Rodney and sister-in-law Donna Danks, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, and his favorite girl, Hanna.
In memory of Don, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.

Donnie always had a smile, Donnie always had a joke, was always up for anything, and if he needed a hand heโd be the first one there. He will be missed.
