Deon Joy Rashbaum of Clearwater Florida, passed away on May 8, 2026 at the age of 97. In her youth, Deon was a professional dancer and danced with the Radio City Rockettes. On August 7, 1952 she married her husband, James Rashbaum. Their favorite hobby was to travel the world, which they did until James death in October 20003. Deon was a kind lady who was always concerned about other’s well being. She was also a very tough lady who overcame many physical injuries throughout her career and in later years. Regardless of how much she may have been hurting, she would always say “I’m fine”.
Deon is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Lynn Rashbaum of Gainesville Georgia, Grandson Christopher Rashbaum and Grand Daughter Jeanine Andutan, both of Las Vegas Nevada, Six great grand children and Daughter-in-law, Beatrice Rashbaum, who lost her husband, Scott Rashbaum, Deon’s second son, to cancer in January 2006. Special thank you to Deon’s caregiver, Brenda Smith, who went above and beyond of what is expected to keep Deon comfortable and happy.

A neighbor and very sweet kind woman who always had a smile.
She was a joy to encounter, always so positive no matter what challenges she was facing physically.
Deon was special.
