Bruce Allen Boyle Sr.

Bruce Allen Boyle Sr.

August 10, 1945 – February 14, 2025

Bruce passed away while being surrounded by his loving family after a brief unexpected illness.

Originally from Connecticut, he moved to Florida at a young age and graduated from Northeast High School where he played shortstop for the Vikings baseball team. A life long baseball fan who switched his allegiance from the New York Yankees to the Tampa Bay Rays when they began their franchise.

Bruce would meet Barbara (Hannemann) and the two married in 1974.  They had two children, Tara, born in 1978 and Bruce Jr., born in 1980. They all enjoyed many road trips over the years, making many memories that have since become family lore.

In his later years, Bruce enjoyed antique hunting, going to Rays games, and providing help and assistance to other seniors who needed it. His compassion for others was humbling as he would often give so much of his time and heart right when someone needed them the most.  Lastly, he was often found sitting on a couch with a cup of coffee and finding companionship with many of the families dogs over the years, letting them sit with him while he snuck treats to them while no one looked.

As God has called him home, he leaves behind his wife Barabara, daughter Tara (wife of Tim), his son Bruce Jr. (Husband to Nina), grandson Trevor (via Tara and Tim), and several other close family members who will miss him greatly.
