Asbjorn Marius Jektvik, 79, Largo died on May 3,2023 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He was born November 23, 1943 in Hitra Norway.
Asbjorn is survived by his wife, Teresa (Tesa), grandson , Adrian Jektvik, Baerum Norway, sisters Svanhild Jektvik Svendsen and Bodil Jektvik Olsen, Trondheim Norway and many friends throughout the world. He is predeceased by his parents Magnar and Agnes, brother Sten , daughter Birgitte and grandson Alexander.
He was a seaman and engineer. Sailing the world many times over. Asbjorn also served in the Norwegian Navy and was a proud member of Sons of Norway.
Asbjorn was a honest and genuinely sincere and loving man, a true gentleman. He was a man of so many talents and expertise. He could make anything, fix anything from ships to cars to anything in the house to applecake, jellyrolls and Jule Ribbe. His many talents will be sorely missed by all. Always there to help a neighbor with anything, even after he became ill.
He loved all music from country to classical. He especially liked Sarah Brightman and Andre Bocelli, both he got to see during the past year. It was very special for him.
He loved almost all sports especially the Rays, Bucs and Lightning. Asbjorn loved to cross country ski and jump when he was growing up in Norway. Also fishing with his father in the sea and fjords when he was home was a favorite pastime.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 12,2023 at 2pm at the Waterfall Condo Clubhouse, Largo.
I would like to thank everyone who has cared for Asbjorn over the past few years.

We saw the announcement in the Tampa Bay Times today. Karol and I are sorry for your loss. It seems that most of our family is slowly fading away. I guess that is what time does with us old folks. Feel free to reach out to us if you need anything.
Our thought and prayers are with you. He will be so missed by everyone especially all the neighbors he helped over all these years. We were neighbors for so many years, I can’t imagine our neighborhood without him. Rest in peace. Nikki is probably so happy to have his old friend home.
