Andrew (Andy) Stewart was born on 6/10/1991 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio , parents Ronald and Deborah Stewart. He lived in Switzerland County until moving with his family to Saint Petersburg Florida in 2007.

Andy attended East Enterprise elementary , and Switzerland County Middle and High School. He spent his childhood playing in creeks and camping in the woods. He loved playing the piano and took lessons for many years from Stephen Ward. Andy attended Gibbs High School fine arts program and SPC in Saint Petersburg . He continued with weekly piano lessons from Rositsa Aleksandrova.

In 2011 Andy moved to Berry ,Kentucky . He found a fixer upper located in a very rural area surrounded by hilly fields and trees. He felt at home there, returning to the country life of his childhood. Over the years he made many improvements to this old farm house.

In 2015 at this home on Robinson Renaker road Andy and Allyson Costello welcomed their newborn son Atlas Icarus Stewart. He was a very proud and loving father.

Many family cookouts, reunions and gatherings were held at his home . He was a generous host and made everyone feel welcome . Andy always livened up the festivities entertaining us with his music. His powerful and moving renditions of classical piano pieces were played in a Rachmaninoff style. He liked to walk around with his accordion playing and singing polka music, in quieter moments he would play the guitar and sing bluegrass songs. He often said he could best express his emotions through his music . He was quiet and thoughtful with a quick wit and great sense of humor. He liked to go repelling at Red River Gorge with friends and spent a couple of summers working at Screaming Eagle Adventures at the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Ky doing zipline tours.

He was employed by E.D.Bullard ,Walmart , Harrison Memorial Hospital , and Amazon during the 10 years he lived in Kentucky. While in St. Petersburg Andy worked at Innovative Products and as a home heath caregiver for his father.

In the summer of 2022 he sold his home in Kentucky to relocate to St. Petersburg Florida. He expressed a desire to live closer to his son Atlas , and to his family . He was proud of his ability to fix things up and remodeled his condo prior to moving into it in September of 2022. He enjoyed spending time with his son, teaching him to play chess, riding bikes , swimming , working on his truck, creating a video game, writing and creating music. He was a compassionate and loving caregiver to his father. He was a friend and mentor to his 2 nieces Rosalie Stewart and Emma Stewart and to his nephew Ayden D. Stewart of Vevay , Indiana.

He leaves behind a heartbroken group of loving family and friends including his Aunts Amy Burgert, Michelle Mertz, Wendi Hollis and His Uncles Larry Hollis , Darin (Jackie Cool,) and Robert (Bella) Burgert Cousins Jesse (Mark) Lynch. Robert (Jessica) Driemel , Ginny (Stanley) Florkiewicz. Jana Lynn and Amber Cool, And numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Grace Campbell Burke and Robert Burgert. His paternal Grandparents Jack Stewart and Francis Mosier. And His father Ronald W. Stewart

He is survived by his son Atlas Icarus Stewart age 7 of St. Petersburg Fla.

  2. Andy played the piano for me many years ago. To this day I never forgot the sound of beauty that came out. May you Rest In Peace.

  3. I am so unbelievably sorry for your loss and heartbreak. Andy was a talented, kind and unique person. We were basically kids when we all hung out years ago, but we had so much fun, making music, him trying to teach me how to drive stick shift, having adventures and fun parties.

    I’m glad we chatted semi recently, and I’m really sad to find out he felt so lost.

  4. So saddened by his passing! He had a wonderful talent for music, I heard him play at Ron’s memorial! He will be missed by his beautiful son and his mother as well as many friends And family! May God bless his soul as he plays his piano among the Angels!
