  5. It’s been a few weeks since you’ve gained your wings, and each day I feel the loss of you not being here with us, as if the world is still in mourning, and it just this foggy day.

You were light and joy and all things good. You had this way of making someone feel so special, it was effortless, and just you. The way you care, brought so much light to so many dark days.

I’ll always be grateful for the light you gave me and my boys, for Your friendship, the endless sassiness, and just the opportunity to know you. I’m so honored to be one of the people your light shined on and I hope to one day be a fraction of all you were to me.

You will be forever missed. I am praying for your special family that has always felt like my own and for all those who are struggling with their days being a little dimmer. I look forward to the day your light shines back down on us all as we learn our way in this world where you no longer walk but have left footprints that will never fade.

    We love you.
