Louise Ann Sapienza Mancino

Mrs. Louise Ann Sapienza Mancino, age 89 of Port Richey, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 in Hudson, FL.

Mrs. Mancino, born on March 12, 1931 in Oakfield, New York was the daughter of the late James and Agnes Shilen Sapienza. She attended Buffalo State University, graduating with a Masters degree in Education. Mrs. Mancino touched the lives of many in countless ways during her tenure as the Principal of Maryvale Schools and a K-12 teacher. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, going out to dinner and to the theatre, playing dominoes and games on her iPad and watching dolphins from home. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her son Joseph and his partner Ben.

Louise was an active member of the St. Michael Parish, participating in various activities such as: music ministry, RCIA, Faith Formation, etc. She also was an avid volunteer for Hernando-Pasco Hospice as a bereavement counselor and a clerk in the HPH Thrift store.

Mrs. Mancino is predeceased by her husband, Carl Frank Mancino, her brother Dominic (Luella) Sapienza, her sister Rose (James) Mead and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include her son, Joseph Carl Mancino of Port Richey; and sister Marion (Tom) Brown all of New Port Richey, Florida. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She will be laid to rest with her husband Carl during a Commitment Ceremony on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave. Bushnell, FL 33513. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Hudson, Florida.
