James A. Havens

James A. Havens

James A. Havens 72, saw his last sunrise on 8/18/23 holding his loving wife’s hand as he left us and was called home to his Heavenly Father.

He was an amazing husband to his beautiful wife Nancy Lee Havens of 52 years.

He was also a wonderful father to his 6 children

David Bowen of Seaford, DE

Angela Bowen of Bridgeville, DE

Steven Bowen of Salisbury, MD

Penny Campbell of Largo, FL

Cristina and Dedric Allen of Richmond, VA

James Havens Jr. and Mary Havens of Seaford, DE

As he was a great dad, he loved being a grandfather even more.  He loved showing his grandchildren how to do different things and he leaves 14 grandchildren to remember their “poppop”!  And 13 great grandchildren.

James was a loving brother and will be greatly missed by his surviving sisters:

Nancy Wells of Covington, VA

Phyliss Neil of Roanoke, VA

Shelby Woods of Pulaski, VA

James was preceded in death by his beautiful mother Hester Haven, John Havens Sr. And John Havens Jr. James (Jim) was a retired truck driver (which he loved) and he also owned his own oversized escort service company.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

A memorial will be held on September 9, 2023 at 249 Jasper Street, Largo, FL 33770 in the community center at 1 pm.
