Arlene Lucille Lambert

Arlene Lucille Lambert, age 86, of Safety Harbor Florida, went to be with her Lord, her loving husband Duane and her son Mark on June 5, 2023.

Arlene was born in Boyne City MI to Carl and Vergia Zinck. She graduated from Boyne City high school and Davenport college.  She married Duane in March of 1956 and moved to Wyoming, MI where they raised their 5 children. Summers were spent taking the whole family camping while Duane helped set up dime stores in various states.  Every year in the spring was the family annual trip to Clearwater, Fl to see her mom and dad. They moved to Caledonia, MI in 1977 and then eventually Lowell, MI where she work along side her husband for 15 years at their dime store, Lambert Variety. They retired and moved to Briar Creek community in Safety Harbor, Fl in 1995.  They were always taking road trips and before Duane passed away they both traveled the United States in their conversion van going 8,000 miles in 3 months from Safety Harbor to California to Canada and back to Florida.


Arlene was exceptionally talented at quilting, painting, sewing, knitting, crocheting and rug hooking as well as many other crafts too numerous to list.

She is preceded in death by her husband Duane, son Mark and sister Carol. Arlene will be be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her children; Cindy Starring and Steven Mummaw, Karen and Ed Kohn, Deb and Brian Broekema and Darwin Lambert as well as her grand children, great grand children, her sister Ruth (Percy) Nathan and her dog Snickers.


The number of friends and other family members mourning her passing and celebrating her memory are far too long to list.

The funeral and burial service will be held at later date in Michigan.

  2. I will always remember Aunt Arlene for her ‘go get em’ attitude. Full of energy and fun. Loved the sun and seafood. I Loved playing cards with her and kept my eye on her at all times. Good memories!
