Marcia Frances Borello

Marcia Frances Borello

09.06.1950 – 08.23.2022

Marcia was born in Manchester, Connecticut to the parents of Rose and Vincent Borello. She is survived by her brother and his wife, Robert and Deb Borello; her nieces Becky and Sarah; her nephew Robbie. She is also survived by her only child, her daughter, Brianna Borello.

Marcia attended College of Saint Mary in Nebraska where she received her undergraduate degree. She then continued her studies at Barry University in Miami where she received her MBA.  Her main profession in life was Medical Records. She worked at several hospitals in this department, working her way up until she was managing an entire floor of employees. Marcia completed the Medical Office Assistant curriculum. She also received a Certificate of Completion in Health Care Risk Management from the American Hospital Association. Her most recent profession was a Medical Malpractice Claims Adjuster. She attended court cases and interviewed doctors. The cases she would be a part of always fascinated her, and she seemed to really enjoy this line of work.

In Marcia’s personal life, she was an avid member of St. Paul Catholic Church where her faith continued to flourish. She became a Guardian Ad Litem and received her certificate from the Supreme Court of Florida.  She attended Bible Study and her TOPS weight loss group once a week. She was also part of an Italian Club, as she was very proud of her Italian heritage. She volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital and would also pray at abortion clinics.

Marcia had a very impressive resume, multiple notable achievements, devoted her time to God, charity, and her many friends. But her most selfless act was adopting her daughter, Brianna, single handed and all on her own. Marcia put her daughter through private school and college and was able to build a life for her because she had built a life for herself. They took Tae Kwon Doe classes together for several years. After her daughter was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2014, Marcia took care of her daughter throughout the years of dialysis and after Brianna received a double kidney transplant, all while Marcia was handling her own health concerns.

Marcia was thoughtful, kind, classy, generous, loving, devoteful, and had a beautiful, pure soul. She was a giver. Even in the toughest of times, she was able to find humor. She lit up a room when she walked in because her smile was so contagious. As some of her friends and family stated so perfectly, “Marcia was a nun without the habit.” She always put God first. Marcia will always be remembered as someone who was joyful and a firm believer in God.
