Eric Louis Gilbertson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric Louis Gilbertson, a truly remarkable man, a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He passed away peacefully on March 16th at 6:38 p.m., leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and service to others.

Eric was a man who believed deeply in giving back. In recognition of his selfless dedication to helping those in need, he was honored with the Sertoma Man of the Year Award for his work supporting a homeless shelter—an achievement that reflected the compassion and generosity he showed throughout his life.

He also served as the proud president of the Bay Bridges BACA chapter, where he worked tirelessly to protect and support children. His leadership and commitment made a lasting impact on many lives, and he will always be remembered for standing up for those who needed it most.

Above all, Eric was a devoted family man. He was the beloved son of the late Edward Alvin Gilbertson and Judy Arline Gilbertson. He is survived by his sisters, Kristin Gilbertson Barrowman (Rob) and Cyndi Winterstein (Mike).

He leaves behind his loving son, Caleb Eric Gilbertson; daughter-in-law, Glory Ann Bryant; and his cherished grandson, Jace Alexander Gilbertson, who brought him immense pride and joy. His love for his family was unwavering, and he will forever live on in their hearts.

Eric will be remembered for his strength, his generosity, and the way he made others feel seen and cared for. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue through the lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Eric. You will never be forgotten.

The first time I met you I was overwhelmed with your energy, after we rode with BACA I realized through you what real compassion for others is.I remember a level 1 you let the child stand on your back so they could put a sticker on their bedroom window. You this tuff biker badass getting on all fours to lift a child up to help them feel safe once again. Rest in peace brother.
