David A Howard 88, formally of Paradise Shores Condos and in the last 18 months resided at Baywood Senior Living passed away on April 18, 2023 at Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents Ada and Harry Howard, his wife Angeline Howard and companion Marie Nichols. Survived by his sister Irene Freedman, Cousin Marion Brooks, Companion Virginia Balke, Step daughter Elizabeth ( James)Moore, a nephew, several cousins and aquired grandchildren and great grandchildren.
David was a retired Air Force veteran and after his time in the military had a very colorful life. He was a bar owner, radio announcer, a copywriter and had a business with his wife Angeline where they sold, Tshirts, coffee mugs and jewelry. David volunteered at Bauder Elementary where he read to the kindergarteners a couple times a week and also taught English as a second language which he enjoyed immensely. He attended the coffee klatch at Paradise Shores every Wednesday where he told his jokes. David loved making people laugh with his humor. He had the kindest heart and was well loved by many including the staff at his ALF. He met his former companion Marie after his wife Angeline and her husband Omar had passed . They had a beautiful 10 years together where they enjoyed going on trips, picnics, movies and dancing. A piece of David went with her when she passed in 2015 however her family remained a huge part of his life and he was cared for by her daughter Beth and her husband Jimmy till the end of his life. David will be so very missed and we all carry a special place for him in our hearts. Graveside service at Baypines VA cemetery on May 19, 2023 9am.
