John (Jack) E. Strauser
April 12, 1957 – July 7, 2026 at Age 69
Jack Strauser, 69 died Tuesday July 7th at the Melech Hospice House after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 12,1957 in Waukegan, Illinois. He was the son of Lawrence Homer Strauser and Sandra Helen (Graves) Strauser.
Jack attended Argo High School in Illinois and graduated in 1975. He later attended St. Petersburg College, USF, and Eckerd College where he graduated with the Degree of Bachelor of Arts, With Distinction and later owned and operated several successful businesses. On January 4,1986 he married Jean Marie Strauser. Jack came from a very large family (he is #2 of 6 siblings) and his greatest joy was the family he loved so deeply. He loved spending time with his large family, especially his grandchildren. He was very athletic and enjoyed biking, rollerblading, boating, skiing and many other sports. He also enjoyed traveling and took great pride in designing and creating items and holds many patents for his inventions. Jack was very ambitious, authored a book “Invest in Yourself” and was a true entrepreneur.
He is survived by his wife Jeanie, 1 daughter Stephanie Marie Strauser and 1 son John Edward Strauser, II of Seminole, FL, and 3 grandchildren Rylan, Amira and Coastyn. He is also survived by 1 brother Lawrence Strauser, 2 Aunts, Peggy Orem and Sharon Tyrell, 1 brother-in-law, Thomas Andreassi, 2 sister-in-law Ann Marie Olszak and Barbara Werner, 19 first cousins and 19 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many close friends whom he considered his family.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers James Strauser, Robert Strauser and 2 sisters Deborah Poche and Sandra Strauser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Saturday August 8th at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 9111 90th Ave. Largo, FL. Lunch and Celebration of Life Immediately following at Casa Bella, 16250 Gulf Blvd Redington Beach.
