Norma Michaud Best, 87, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, following a brief stay at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center.
Norma was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, to Yvonne (Nadeau) and Arthur Michaud. After graduating from high school, she married and moved to Maine, where she raised her family. An avid reader, Norma also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and scrapbooking. After her children were grown, she relocated to Florida, where she found a second chance at love and embraced a fulfilling new chapter in life.
Norma was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister whose kindness, warmth, and strength touched all who knew her. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Barb Page (Brett); her son, Mike Daigle (Marcia); her daughter-in-law, Diane Daigle; and her sister, Barbara Haché. She was predecea
sed by her beloved son, Andy Daigle; her sister, Claire Zalanka; and her brothers, Ronald Michaud and Jean-Rock Michaud.
In addition to being a dedicated mother, Norma was a proud and loving grandmother to Crystal Daigle, Kylie Wright (Peter), Brooke Page, and Mike Daigle (Kacee). She was also blessed with eight cherished great-grandchildren: Blake, Landen, Theo, Andy, Kalee, Michael, Mason, and Kloee. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom she loved dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 7851 54th Ave. N., Saint Petersburg, Florida, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Following the Mass, family and friends are invited to a reception to share food, fellowship, and cherished memories.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disability Achievement Center, 12552 S. Belcher Rd., Largo, FL 33773. The family is deeply grateful for the support the organization provided, which allowed Norma to remain independent and continue living safely at home.
