William Nathaniel “Bill” Booth Jr., 85, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, in Palm Harbor, Florida. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Bill lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to country, and a distinguished professional career.
Born on March 29, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Sue, father William Nathaniel Booth Sr, mother Cecilia McAfferty Booth, brothers Thomas and James Booth and sister Mary Alice Booth. He is survived by brother Michael Booth and sister-in-law Mary Kate McGowan and sister-in-law Joanne Booth.
Bill served honorably in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1960. He married the love of his life Sue in 1963 with whom he shared a lifetime of love, adventure and companionship.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Science degree at University of Maryland in electrical engineering—a foundation that would launch a successful career spanning more than three decades at IBM.
Family was always at the heart of Bill’s life. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Teresa Booth-Fakler and son-in-law Edward, William Booth III; and Karen Booth. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Lauren Fakler and her husband Dahri Jahn, Justin Fakler; Jacob Fakler; Haley Booth; and Charlotte Booth.
Bill found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Spending time on the golf course, traveling with friends and family, solving puzzles or playing card games around the table. He was a constant presence at his grandchildren’s games and recitals, always showing up with unconditional support and wisdom. Whether lending a hand or offering guidance to those around him, Bill embodied quiet strength and generosity.

Bill was a wonderful man, highly respected by his family and close friends. He and Sue had wonderful children and grandchildren and a great love of their own. My only regret is that we did not spend a lot of time together especially when he and Sue moved to Florida. The family will be in my prayers as we look forward to a great grand baby coming soon in the future. Love Aunt Joanne
