Teresa “Bucky” Louanna Gill

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and remarkable woman, Teresa “Bucky” Louanna Gill, who passed away on August 2, 2025. She was born on November 24, 1942 in Norfolk, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Teresa Aneila Pusz and Albert Everett Johnson; step-father, Charles Rodney Marriott; sister, Freda Bogner; and husband, George Edward Gill. She is survived by her three children – Brian, Ryan, and Shannon and her granddaughter, Jordan Pescio. She was a faithful member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Kingsland, Texas where she worshiped and volunteered. Her beautiful soul has found peace in God’s care.

She was the truest definition of a loving mother and devoted wife, always putting their needs before her own. She dedicated her life to God and her children. Her children are where she found her greatest joy and purpose. Through her everyday actions, she taught us the importance of kindness, love, selflessness and a commitment to the well-being of others. She will be forever remembered for her unconditional love, her quiet strength, and her sacrifices she made for her family. She spent her entire life caring for others, always with an open heart and a gentle spirit. She was the light of our lives and the rock of our family.

As we grieve her loss, may we celebrate the beautiful soul of such an extraordinary person. We consider it our greatest privilege to have been raised by her. We are forever grateful for the gift of her love. She will be profoundly missed by her children and granddaughter and will live on forever in our hearts. Her sweet, infectious smile was a reflection of her immense spirit. May she inspire all who knew her to carry forward her love and compassion for others and to honor her memory by performing simple acts of kindness, just as she did every day.

“Love and Big Hugs”

I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.   Psalms 23:6

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.   John 14:27

  1. Your announcement gave me goosebumps as I read it. Daughter Shannon is a complete carbon copy of her mom. I don’t think I’ve ever met a person more angel like, kind, enormously giving of herself, always caring for others in so many different ways, fun , funny , a gift. Therefore, I feel like I met and know your Mom, who I know will always be with you. You will never be without her presence.
