Bruce P. Esposito of Clearwater, FL formerly of Wakefield, MA passed away after a period of illness on July 17, 2025 at age 61. His loving sister, neighbor, and Chaplain were by his side.
Bruce was good natured and had a certain way of presenting. Whether by a wry line or humorous story, he certainly had the ability to connect with everyone. Bruce knew everyone and everyone knew Bruce in a good way. This is not only true while growing up in Wakefield, but also in all the years he lived in Clearwater.
Bruce spent his career in the aerospace industry. He earned his 5-year gold pin at Aerosonic Corporation in Clearwater and went on to work there for 29 years holding many positions including Quality Manager. Bruce traveled to the Czech Republic, Turkey, Canada and many parts of the United States. Bruce was particularly fond of Montreal for its wine and dining.
When Bruce was not working, he could often be found socializing, listening to live music, boating, or riding his motorcycle, first a vintage Triumph then a Harley Davidson. He thoroughly enjoyed riding with friends and Uncle Bobby.
When his twin nieces were born, Bruce quickly discovered a limelight strolling the carriage with a smile ear to ear, and being stopped by so many, particularly beautiful ladies. In addition to being survived by his twin-nieces, Audrey McRae of Wakefield and Nicole (McRae) Beers and her husband David of Lowell, Bruce is survived by his parents Judith Hynes and Paul Esposito, his brother Erik and niece Julie Esposito, his sister Kristin Esposito McRae all of Wakefield. He is preceded by his brother-in-law Robert McRae and uncle Robert Esposito. He is survived by his aunt Karen Esposito and close friends Rodney Espinola and Maria Hampton, and neighbor Patrick Panado all of Clearwater, and many relatives and friends from Wakefield to Florida and points between.
A Eulogy with a light collation, will be held on August 21, 2025 from 1:30 pm until 5pm at the Clearwater-Dunedin Lodge of Elks, 1240 San Christopher Drive, Dunedin, FL. Interment service will be at Lakeside Cemetery, North Ave at Beacon St, Wakefield, MA on August 28, 2025 at 12 o’clock in the afternoon, immediately followed by a light collation at the historic Hartshorne House and outside garden, 41 Church Street, Wakefield, MA.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to Tunnel to Towers, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.

So sorry that Bruce has left this world way too soon. I have fond memories that I will cherish and I hope that everyone remembers Bruce with nothing but big smiles. My deepest condolences and may all wonderful memories be a blessing.
Condolences to the Esposito family. I have only great memories of Bruce. Whether it was celebrating Christmas (and being introduced to Swedish grogg!) in Wakefield, new years eve parties in Lynn or hanging out at the pool in Largo, it was always a fun time. And I’ll never forget the weekend trips to the Keys…so many laughs. Maura and I will keep his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers. Rest easy pal.
Blessed with the privilege of having Bruce as my neighbor for 20+ years I am saddened of his passing. Bruce was the Ideal Masshole converted Floridian neighbor: friendly, fun and full of life and always ready to toast for a good time, no matter the occasion. We got along even though he remained loyal to Boston’s Pats, Bruins, Celtics, RedSox, we verbally battled with him on the winning side more often than not, all fun times! He exuted fun times, we all know that! He and I really connected over the past 16 months as his failing health and mobility became compromised. Feel very gracious to have the opportunity to lend a hand during his times of need. Fortunately, mentally he was sound and sharp till the end, never asked for much, was in a good place, mostly pain free. With every reason to complain he rarely did. I admired him for that. My condolences to all his Family: Kristin,Judy, Paul,Erik,Julie,Nicole,Audrey, Karen,Kenny&Barb and all extended family and close friends back home in Mass., we lost a great one! RIP Bruce, you will be greatly missed, May God Bless You my Brother from another Mother! Sincerely, Patrick
Sure had some good times and great memories with you Bruce especially at Dukes Garage, at Norton’s happy hour, your house for football games, and motorcycle rides. Hope you are resting in piece and riding high in heaven with all your buds.
So very sorry to his family and friends. It’s been years since HS but I still remember Bruce’s big smile. Great guy gone too soon
I’m so sorry to hear that news Bruce and Erick were good friends growing up
My memories are from Wakefield. Bruce was a awesome person always happy and always had a joke. Christmas at his house and Grogg on the stove. He will surely be missed. Till we meet again.
I am so sorry to hear this. I worked with Bruce about all the 29 years he was there. Had a great conversation with him a few weeks ago. His family is in my thoughts and prayers💕
I have many wonderful memories of wonderful times with Bruce. He and my husband Tony were the best of friends and we were also next door neighbors for several years. We hung out a lot between our homes, riding motorcycles with many other friends and cruising around Florida. He also made the best red sauce I’ve ever tasted! He’s passed on now ahead of us, but Uncle Bobby and Tony are already there to greet him and show him all around heaven! Until we meet again!
I love you Bruce I will miss our conversation and laughing with you and texting every morning, you were a great friend and I will not forget you. RIP 🙏
Thank you all for your kind words and expressions which means a lot to us. We wanted to share a little more. On the first Sunday following Bruce’s passing, his friends gathered at their original Clearwater spot and raised a glass to Bruce – Fitting and Heartfelt.
On August 21, 2025 we gathered together at the Clearwater-Dunedin Lodge of Elks where we had a nice compliment of friends, family and neighbors. Some friends had known Bruce throughout his years in Clearwater and we’ve had the pleasure of meeting on various trips, while a few we had the pleasure of meeting for the first time. Finding a friend from years ago was a highlight in this surreal time. Words spoken included readings, words of sentiment and Eulogy. All the words expressed a commonality to the uncommon – the ability to connect with everyone, with good disposition and perfect delivery of one-line jokes – Witty, Wry, Infectious – Bruce had it all!
On August 28, 2025 we gathered at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield. It was the most beautiful day weatherwise with blue sky and temperatures in the 70’s. A beautiful compliment of family, friends and neighbors were in attendance; lifelong friends from the old neighborhood, high school and neighbors both from FL and MA. Beautiful. We shared spiritual readings, a prayer, words of sentiment, Eulogy, and a poem all with the grass under our feet, shade from the trees, eyesight from the old chapel and all its spectres, 1700’s and on. Following still, along the shores of Lake Quannapowitt, we had our collation at the historic Col Hartshorne House. It was a picturesque day to gather, converse, reminisce in the beautiful yard. Notations of the dwelling’s interior and history were sprinkled in too as it was built in 1681. Once again, the expressed commonality to the uncommon was the ability Bruce had to connect with everyone and be a friend to all. Bruce will certainly be missed and affectionately never forgotten.
I just heard the sad news of my old pal Bruce’s passing/ He loved coming to see my band play music in Fla. I use to stay with him at his house there and we shared some great times! My heart is heavy now but he will never be forgotten as long as I live. He was a close friend and may he rest in peace…love ya man. Reg n Patti xox
