James L. Siemons, 76, of Tarpon Springs, FL, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor, FL. Jim was born on September 22, 1944 in Watseka, IL, the son of Paul and Gloria Siemons of Decatur IL. He married Liz Goodlink on April 13, 1982. He is survived by his wife, Liz; Children: Heather Siemons of Tarpon Springs FL, Kelly (Cliff) Hollon of Sullivan, IL, Andrea (Joe) Kovacs of Girard, IL, Amy Leaf of Decatur, IL and Frank (Vicky) Ahlfield of Decatur, IL; Siblings: Ric Siemons of Atlanta, GA, and Nancy (Peter) Boyer of McFarland, WI; He had 15 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Gloria Siemons, sister, Sue Siemons-Arnold, daughter, Vicki Cornell and grandsons, Justin Ragsdale and Jason Sleeth.
Jim’s careers included Machinist and Welder at Caterpillar Tractor Company in Decatur, IL, Videographer at WAND TV in Decatur, IL, WKRN TV in Nashville, TN, Entertainment Tonight in Nashville, TN and Photographer at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Tarpon Springs, FL.
Jim served in the US Army and the US Army National Guard. He was an avid fan of University of Illinois basketball, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and was devoted to the care of his daughter, Heather.
Cremation services were provided by Abbey Affordable in Palm Harbor, FL. As per request, there will be no memorial service.
