Margery Ann Rogers
Rogers (Connell), Margery Ann at 87 years young on January 7, 2021. Current resident of Largo, Florida, with previous residency in White Lake, Michigan and Brilliant, Ohio.
Margie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Charlie (aka; Mope or Buddy), her eldest son, Doug (Suzanne) and her siblings, Betty Molnar (Jim), Bill Connell (Ruth), Ray Connell (Eleanor), Art Connell (Esther) and Rich Connell (Pam). She is survived by her dear sons, Ron Rogers (Rhonda) of White Lake MI, Rick Rogers of Metuchen, NJ and Brian Rogers of Largo, FL; precious grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer), Stephanie, Erin (Pete), Chris, Jared (Magan) and Ciana; and blessed great-grandchildren, Nola, Ellison, Zach, Isaac, Emily, Hannah, Evan, Ella and Alex.
Margie was a long standing, performing member of Sweet Adelines International – Oakland Shores chapter (Michigan), a worldwide organization committed to advancing female barbershop harmony. As an engaged consultant/advisor of Avon beauty products, she earned the Presidents Club award year after year, as well as many new, lifelong friends. Her charm and spirit was recognized early in her life, as both a cheerleader for her high school football team and in 1950, as Queen of Brilliant High School at the annual Lions Football Preview. Most importantly, Margie will be fondly remembered for her singing of ‘Happy Birthday’ to her beloved family and friends throughout the years.
A Celebration of Life gathering is yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, Memorial tributes and contributions are suggested to Suncoast Hospice of Florida (SuncoastHospice.org).
