James Phillip Walker

August 5, 1941 – June 17, 2018

Largo, Florida – James Phillip Walker, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park, FL.

Born in Roseburg, Oregon in 1941, Jim graduated from Point Arena High School, CA in 1959 and served in the United States Navy as an Interior Communications Electrician from 1959 – 1964.  Jim was employed by United Airlines as an electrician in the Building Maintenance Department at Newark International Airport for 32 years, during which time he lived in Toms River and Point Pleasant, NJ.  He retired in 2001 to Port Richey, Florida.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kathleen Walker of Largo, FL and her son, Steven Frazee and his husband Robert Lewis of Seattle, WA; two daughters, Lori Fedirko and her husband Keith of Germansville, PA; and Tammy Hobar and her husband, James of Whitehall, PA; and two grandchildren TJ Fedirko and Megan Hobar.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Carol Walker; his mother, Sachlee Leach and her husband, Charles; his father, Phillip Columbus Walker and his wife Marie; his half sister Debbie Stanley and her daughter Jody.

Interment and military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Bay Pines National Cemetery, 1000 Bay Pines Boulevard, St. Petersburg, Florida.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
