Karen A. Fuller

71, entered into eternal rest on February 15, 2018 at Meese Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor.  She was surrounded by family and friends.  Karen was predeceased by her parents, F. Robert Kirsch and Phyllis Kirsch of Lockport, New York.  Karen is survived by her brother; Robert Kirsch, her son’s;  Ray D (Catherine) Fuller, Jr., Dean (Ann) Fuller and, her grandchildren; Seth Fuller, Jordan Fuller, Ryan Fuller and Brayden Fuller; nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.  Karen was from Lockport, New York, graduating from Lockport Senior High School, D’Youville College with a Bachelor in Nursing, and Southwest University – Summa Cum Laude – with a Masters and Doctorate in Health Services Administration.  Karen worked for several years in the Nursing and Health Administration field before being hand selected to work for the New York State Department of Health by Governor George Pataki, continuing under Governor Eliot Spitzer, Governor David Paterson and retired under Governor Andrew Cuomo.  Moving to Florida, Karen has been an active participant in the Republican Party and on the Board of Directors of her HOA.  She also volunteered in local clinics giving flu shots to the elderly.  Karen was a member of Who’s Who of American Women 1989/1990, the NRA and has received numerous awards from the NYS Department of Health.  Funeral services will be held in Lockport, NY where she will be laid to rest next to her parents at the Glenwood Cemetery.
