Paul A. Short, “Shorty” passed away on November 17, 2017. He was born on October 26, 1940, in Rome, NY, the son of H. Paul Short and Anne Luberda Short. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathleen Colburn Short, daughter Rebecca, son Kenneth, grandchildren, Anthony, Lillian, Katherine and Michelle, brother Brian, and sisters Mary Irene and Cynthia.
Paul served in the United States Navy on the USS Bainbridge, attended Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY, and worked in the wire industry until his retirement from Specialty Cable, Wallingford, CT in 2005 as Vice President of Engineering.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, and the caretakers of LIfePath Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations to LifePath Hospice through chaptershealth.org, would be appreciated.
A memorial service will be held on December 30, 2017 at 11 a.m., at the Melech Hospice House, 11125 N 52nd St., Tampa, FL 33617.
