Mark Todd Clifton, 57, passed away at his home in Clearwater, Florida on Monday November 6th. Mark was born September 1, 1960 to Walter and Nova Clifton in Columbus, Ohio, the second of five children. He served in the United States National Guard, and then began a long career as a mechanic in the automotive industry. He met his wife, Tari, while fixing an ambulance she had been driving, and six weeks later they were married on August 8, 1986. They built a family together, and raised nine children.
Mark enjoyed fishing, playing video games with his sons, working on cars, and time spent with his family. He lived a simple, selfless life – doing what he loved, and always giving what he could. He truly was unlike any other. He will be remembered by family and friends for his sense of humor, humility, strength, selflessness and dedication as a skillful mechanic, loving father, faithful husband, and beloved son, brother and friend.
Mark’s legacy lives on, as he is survived by his wife, Tari Clifton; daughters, Stephanie (James Fitch), Summer Clifton, Lindsay Clifton, Brittany(Luis Valencia, Hunter Clifton and Kennedy Clifton; sons, Mark Clifton the second (Anna), Gabriel Clifton and Jeremiah Clifton; grandchildren, Brandon, Jason, Caleb, Kylee, Andrew, Luis, Mia, Noé and Zacarias; parents, Walter and Nova Clifton; brother Scott Clifton(Heather); sisters, Ellen Clifton, Karen Clifton and Laura (Patrick Michaelson); several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held in December 2017 at Radiant Life Church in Dublin, Ohio. Pastor Dave Gross will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Clifton fund in support of his wife and children through the church.
May He Rest In Heavenly Peace.
